The Mission

The central mission of American University of Medical Technology is to provide an educational career program designed to prepare students for employment in the allied health fields. In support of this philosophy, The school is innovative in its curriculum, seeking to offer programs where jobs are high in demand. The school is employment-intensive in its focus, and responsive to employers' needs. Our philosophy is that the students' interests are always the highest priority.

The School Approval

American University of Medical Technology (here for referred to as AUMT) is located in 3 different cities in Southern California. The Carson Site is located in the South Bay area of Los Angeles at 20720 S. Leapwood Ave Unit A, 90746. AUMT Ontario Site is located in Ontario, California, next to Ontario City Airport, San Bernadino County. California. 3rd Location is located at Victorville California, near The Desert Spring Hospital. AUMT was granted institutional approval from The Bureau for Private Postsecondary & Vocational Education (BPPVE) pursuant to California Education Code Section 94311. The Bureau’s approval certifies that the institutional and its operations meet the minimum standards established under the law for occupational instruction by Private Postsecondary Educational Institutions.Education and training at American Univesity of Medical Technology are directed toward preparing students to:

Health Fair is around the clock at Ontario campus

Wellness Pointe and many regional businesses and agencies recently came together for the biggest family-oriented health fair South Bay has ever seen.  Held at 1007 East Marshall Avenue the event featured not only health-centered screenings, functions and materials, but also dry and water slides for children, face painting, horse shoes, prize giveaways and live bands.  The Longview Fire Department was also on hand to allow visitors to examine the General Medical. Graduation Ceremony for 2010

More than 125 students enjoyed their graduation ceremonies at the North Grenville District at Carson Cvic Center last Tuesday, June 29. As students arrived at the city center early to collect their graduation hats and gowns, commencement organizers were busy getting the school’s gymnasium ready for the evening. The California State Regulation for Phlebotomy Tech

The state of California, as of April 9, 2003, has implemented certification requirements for those who currently practice phlebotomy, or wish to do so. All phlebotomists and students must take a California approved phlebotomy course, and upon completion, pass a national exam.  If you have had phlebotomy experience between April 1998 and now, you may only need our advanced class to be eligible for the certification test required by the state of California. Continuing Education Courses are now in service !

Continuing Medical Education (CME) is a mandatory requirement established by California law to create the most competent licensing population possible, thereby enhancing consumer protection. Initial regulations were adopted in December 1976. These regulations have been subsequently amended. This information reflects the most recent revisions as of 2009. Orientation for Transfer Credit

Students who wish to apply for credit for previous education, training, or work experience, must submit a Credit for Previous Education, Training, or Work Experience form (CPETWE) and provide official tran- scripts for educational training, or documentation of the work experi- ence. A placement examination may be given to determine the best level for the student in a program. Training received at foreign educa- tional institutions may need to be evaluated .
