Administrative Policy

ORIENTATION:

Orientation for new students is held at the beginning of each new class start. Pertinent policies and procedures concerning students and the institution and programs are discussed. Additional forms are completed and any questions relating to the school are discussed.

REGISTRATION

Students must be registered prior to attending classes.

DISCLOSURE OF STUDENT EDUCATIONAL RECORDS

The Admissions Director supervises student records and access to these records is allowed to ACMT staff for the purpose of recording grades, attendance and counseling notes. Educational records are defined as files, materials, and documents which contain information directly related to a student and are maintained by the administrative staff of the school. Applicants/students are advised and cautioned that State law requires the school to maintain school and student records for five year period, with the exception of radiology courses (Radiology records are kept indefinitely).

Written request is required before educational records may be disclosed to third parties with the exception of accrediting bodies and government agencies so authorized by law. One copy of a Student's transcript is available to the student upon request. There will be a $5.00 charge for any additional copies needed.


Administrative Prerogatives & Eligibility

ADMINISTRATIVE PREROGATIVES

The School reserves the right at any time to make changes as necessary in regulations and fees and to cancel any course if registration does not justify continuance. Any decision made in these areas would only be done within the guidelines of Federal, Local and State Agencies.

ELIGIBILITY FOR GRADUATION

All students, in order to be eligible for graduation and to receive a Diploma shall meet the following criteria:

1. All fees due SACM must be paid in full.
2. Student must have completed all subject matter examinations with an over all grade point average of 70% or better in each section.
3. Student must have taken the final examination for each course in which they are enrolled.
4. Student must have completed all laboratory assignments where applicable.
5. Student must have completed all assignments set forth in class in the prescribed manner.
6. Student must have satisfactory attendance as prescribed by the School and the State of California


Student Services


SACM maintains a policy of placement assistance to all graduates. Although job promises or guarantees will not / cannot be made, the placement department attempts to place every graduate. The College offers job assistance with resume writing, interviewing techniques, job search techniques, and arrangement of interviews. There is never a charge to graduates for placement assistance.

Classroom and Laboratory Policy
OCCUPANCY

SACM will not enroll more than 20 students per classroom and/or laboratory. This encourages student/Instructor interaction hence, increases the student's learning ability as well as instructor's involvement in the progression and comprehension of the laboratory and classroom material.
